Minute 930 // Delay You Pay TODAYS MESSAGE IS DEDICATED IN MEMORY OF ABRAHAM BEN ROSA A'H BY EDDIE AND HELEN SHAMAH PLEASE CONSIDER A DEDICATION GO TO WWW.RAYMONDBEYDA.COM CLICK ON DONATIONS AND HONOR A PERSON OR OCCASION The goal of a seller is to close a deal. Many people who are good at getting prospective buyers to look at their products are weak at closing, and therefore come away from their sales presentations without orders. Their potential buyers evade sales pressure with delaying tactics such as “I will look around and let you know,” or “I have to ask my spouse,” or any other excuse that will help them avoid making a final commitment to buy. Good salespersons try to create a sense of urgency. Those who get orders make buyers feel that if they do not act immediately, they will miss a great opportunity to acquire the product. “Today is the last day of the sale,” or, “This is the last one that I will have for at least a few weeks,” or, “I have another customer who is coming back soon and he wants this item,” are just some of the many lines that will make a customer feel that procrastination will cause loss. The next time you can’t decide whether to do something now or maybe later, consider whether the action provides a chance to do good, or whether you are being pushed from behind by the Yetzer Hara that is trying to trip you up. Once you know where you stand, if it is good, don’t delay or you will pay. It only takes a minute to make it happen, and that same minute of delay can blow a platinum opportunity. CONSIDER THIS FOR A MINUTE A rabbi was once asked, “How do I know if I am being pushed by the Evil Inclination or if I am experiencing a kosher urge to do good?” The wise man answered, “Do like the tightrope walker. Whichever way he feels he is being pulled, he leans in the other direction in order to achieve balance. When you feel yourself being pulled to rush into something, slow down. It is probably your Yetzer Hara. If you feel you can’t get yourself to move, jump! He is probably holding you back.” WOULD YOU LIKE TO DEDICATE A MESSAGE IN HONOR OR IN MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE?
